San Pedro Sula is the country’s second largest city, also known as the Industrial Capital given its fast growth in the past century, continuing to this day. Founded on June 27th, 1536 by Pedro de Alvarado with the name of San Pedro de Puerto Caballos, later changed to San Pedro Sula, coming from the local dialect of usula, meaning valley of birds. Located in a prime location in the northwest which makes it easy to move to other places of interest. Having modern hotels, great restaurants, modern malls among them the City Mall, newest and largest in Central America and many other attractions within reach.
Day 1: Meet and greet at San Pedro Sula. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Today you will visit the country’s industrial capital; San Pedro Sula, driving through residential and commercial areas, the city’s anthropological and history museum, the Guamilito handicraft market and, alter a delicious lunch you have the afternoon off to enjoy the city. Breakfast. Night Accommodation.
Day 3:Today we travel 55 kms from San Pedro Sula to Central America’s largest harbor; Puerto Cortes, see the San Fernando Fortress up close. Built by the Spanish to defend the harbor against pirate attacks, it gives a magnificent view of the Omoa Bay and the Merendón mountain range. Return to San Pedro Sula. Breakfast and lunch. Night Accommodation.
Day 4: We either arrange your return trip or move on to the next destination.
