Guanaja is one of the last paradises in the Caribbean, get in touch with the immensity and tranquility of the sea, avoid the crowds. Second largest of the Bay Islands, located across the sea from Trujillo on the main land, the usual way to get there is flying, to get to your hotel or other places you need a water taxi. The only island with fresh water running on the surface, making small streams. Discovered by Columbus on his last voyage in 1502 while searching for fresh water and because of the great amount of pine trees on it at the time, he named it Island of Pines.
